Widening of Alafaya Trail

The design plan for the widening of Alafaya Trail should be completed by November. The expansion calls for an extra lane in both directions of a 3.75 mile stretch between Avalon Park Blvd. and Mark Twain Blvd. Once the project design has been approved, construction should take approximately 12-18 months to complete. Hopefully, this plan will help to ease Avalon Park traffic congestion during rush hour. For more information, click on the Orange County Website.
