Im with CJ 100%. Sad part is he wrote his comment December 14, 2007 at 4:34 am, today is February 28, 2009 and we are still in the same mess we were in then! Are they planning on building more houses back where the new road is which will be considered the second largest cul-de-sac and instead of taking 30 minutes to get out of here now it will take me an hour? For the cost of living out here you would think they would give us more options on getting out of here in a timely manner.

This is getting ridiculous. The county needs to maintain an updated, coherent, clear plan of what’s happening, and keep us all in the loop via a website. I live in Avalon Park, and the commuter traffic is murderous.

This Alafaya Trail extension is the biggest mess…..i believe there is alot more going on than meets the eye with why they cant or wont connect the extension to the Beachline…..they are creating another DEAD END road from the dead end road that Avalon Park sits on!!!!! Pure Idiocy!!!! How much louder do the people that live off of Alafaya have to yell to get this thing done???? We dont want your excuses…just get the job done…we are suffering here living on the world largest cul-de-sac!! I cant believe the city let all of this development happen withour planning for the traffic that comes along with it….and we the citizens are the ones paying for their stupidity. How hard can it be to build a street to a highway and connect it???

Karen,
It is my understanding that this road will be a dead end by December 2008. There will be no connection to the Beachline for quite some time afterwards.
I do not see how this will generate much business within the next couple of years.
As soon as I get further information, I will be sure to post it.

What road will the extension end at until we can reach 528?

Will we be able to use the NEW road by Dec 2008 UNTIL WE CAN REACH BELINE(528)?

WILL THE NEW ROAD CREATE ANY NEW COMMERICAL ACTIVITY?
