Best Restaurants in the East Orlando Florida Area?
August 19, 2008
I would love to hear your ideas on your favorite restaurants in our area! I anxiously awaited the poll results of the Best of Orlando list from the Orlando Weekly. However, the favorite restaurants from readers were less than inspiring- hellooo, Olive Garden anyone? No offense, I enjoy a good Olive Garden salad from time to time, but I was hoping to discover a real gem.
I’d love to hear about any restaurants- from your favorite to take the kids, to impress a first date, to take your mother-in-law, etc. What about Greek- where am I going to get the best Shish in town?
Please leave your suggestions in the comment section below and be sure to tell me what makes it your favorite establishment in the area!

The best restaurant in East Orlando is and will remain the 5 & Diner. No doubt about it, been eating there for the past ten years. However, prices are going up. $9+ for a burger and fries, and that includes the WATER I was drinking.
Side note, best Happy Hour is at Buffalo Wild Wings.

Gary, I was told that Buffalo Wild Wings had the best happy hour, too. So, I went last Wednesday— and the special was COORS for a $1. You are going to have to pay me more than $1 to drink that river water, lol!
Thanks for the diner tip- I’m going to have to check that out. I will have to sell a few more houses first in order to afford a $9 burger though!

They have a Beer of the Month campaign, so check it out in another few weeks. Plus its a buck. Hell, I even drink Miller Light when its a dollar.
